Further to last months post about The Cottingly Fairies I have this lovely update from Jane, who told me... "Here is Toddy - one of the pet names I had to for Dad. He is made from his "hope shirt" which he was wearing in hospital and came back from double pneumonia and made it "home"...he is Toddy the Taurean as he was made on Sunday 7th which makes him a little bull bear. Nic's Ella Elephant... with an adjustment
Good afternoon all, today I thought you might like to see a different take on the Ella Elephant pattern. Nic told me "Sharing with you another Ella elephant , this time I've made her so she can stand, slightly altered the pattern by making two pairs of back legs... my granddaughter loves her as do I"And I love seeing the results of your creative experimentation, Ella looks great with 4 back legs. Dr. Karen's Bookish Bunny
After falling in love with a picture of a harp-playing hare from a mediaeval illuminated manuscript, Dr. Karen started making applique rabbits on cushions and cases for her friends. She said..."When I saw the My Fabric Heaven “Lacy Rabbit”, I couldn’t resist making it. I first made a pink one, before I realised that another friend, librarianship lecturer Anne, shared my enjoyment of mediaeval rabbit illustrations. Some “printed pages” material in my fabric stash looked ideal for a bookish friend, so I set to work making a bookish Lacy Rabbit for Anne." Bookish bunny then traveled from Karen in Scotland...

Julie's Fleece Bears
I just love these bears! - made by Julie using a soft polar fleece fabric. The pink bear is from the Harley Teddy Pattern and the white teddy is the Jingle Bear Pattern. Julie said..." I'm a childminder so the toys I make are well and truly tested by lots of little people all under 5 years old. I've found they like the feel of fleeces and soft pile fabrics the best"..."
